GMAT Focus Edition is a globally recognized management entrance exam used for admission to MBA, MiM, and other business master's programs at leading business schools worldwide. The exam assesses Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights skills.
About Exam
The GMAT is a standardised test used by business schools worldwide to assess candidates for their MBA and other business-related postgraduate and doctoral programs, like MS Finance and MS Accounting. It is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The full form of GMAT is Graduate Management Admission Test.
The GMAT exam is adaptive and has 3 sections:
Quantitative Reasoning: Algebra, arithmetic, geometry, word problems, statistics, probability.
Verbal Reasoning: Passages from social sciences, humanities, physical and biological sciences, and business.
Data Insights: Analyze and interpret data from graphic, numeric, and verbal sources.
The test has a total of 64 multiple-choice questions.
The GMAT exam lasts for about 2 hours and 15 minutes, including an optional 10-minute break.
GMAT total score ranges from 205 to 805.
GMAT exam fee in India in 2026 is USD $275 (approx. 25,580 INR) for the test center-delivered exam, and USD $300 (approx. 27,900 INR) for at-home testing. An 18% GST is added at the time of payment.
GMAT exam dates are available throughout the year for both formats. Registrations can be done up to 6 months in advance.
As of 2026, there are around 40 GMAT test centers in India.
