GMAT Exam Syllabus 2026

The GMAT pattern is divided into 3 sections: quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, and data insights. The total number of questions is 64, and the total test duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes, with an optional 10-minute break. Each section has a duration of 45 minutes.

GMAT Exam Results 2026

The GMAT results are released in 3-5 days, but your unofficial score will be visible on your screen immediately after completing the exam.

Total Score Range: 205-805 (10-point increments).
Section Score Range: 60-90 (1-point increments per section).
Unanswered Questions: Penalties apply, so answering all questions within the time limit is important.
Free score sending: Up to 5 programs within 48 hours of receiving the report. After this limit, additional score report fees of INR apply.
Report details: Each report contains scores from one exam only and cannot be recalled once sent.
Score validity: GMAT scores remain valid for 5 years. Older scores may require special permission to send (up to 10 years, subject to GMAT rules).

How many times can I take the GMAT exam?

There is no lifetime limit on the number of attempts. However, you can take the exam a maximum of 5 times in a rolling 12-month period, including both test center-delivered and online test. Also, there has to be a 16-day gap between two consecutive exams.
