About VITEEE
VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology for admission to B.Tech programs offered at VIT campuses including Vellore, Chennai, AP, and Bhopal. The exam is conducted annually in online mode and is one of the most popular private engineering entrance exams in India. Candidates are evaluated on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Aptitude, and English. Admission is offered based on VITEEE rank and counselling process.
Main Overview
The VITEEE Counselling session has begun following the result declaration on May 8, 2026. on its official website, vit.ac.in. The counselling session is now active and will be conducted in 5 phases based on the rank you have achieved.
To participate in the VITEEE 2026 counselling, candidates must log in to the official portal using their application number and password to pay the registration fee and lock in their preferred campus and course choices.
To participate in the ongoing counselling, candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹5,900. Once a seat is allotted, tuition fees vary by category, ranging from approximately ₹1.76 Lakh to ₹4.93 Lakh per annum, depending on the campus and branch.

What is the VITEEE Exam?
The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is a national-level exam conducted by VIT University for admission to its B.Tech programs across its campuses in Vellore, Bhopal, and Amaravati.
The VITEEE is an exam for those students who wish to pursue an undergraduate engineering degree at the VIT University. This exam tests the candidate’s capability in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
The exam offers two distinct question paper sets for the candidates from different streams:
MPCEA: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude
BPCEA: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude

VITEEE 2026 Results
The VITEEE 2026 result has been released on May 08, 2026, on the official website, vit.ac.in.
Candidates can download their scorecard using their application number, registered email ID and password.
The scorecard includes the VITEEE rank, personal details, and qualifying status for VITEEE 2026 counselling.

In the VIT Vellore campus, the cutoff rank for the CSE branch and CSE (specialisation) is expected to be around 1,000 and 2,000, respectively, for category 1.
The cutoff rank for top branches such as CSE and CSE(S) is expected to be around 3,000 and 8,000 for category 2.
The cutoff rank for the ECE and EEE branches is expected to be around 6,000 and 15,000 for category 1 and 60,000 and 70,000 for category 5.

For category 1, the expected cutoff rank for the CSE and CSE(S) branches will be around 4,000 and 6,000 for the VIT Chennai campus.
The cutoff rank for the CSE and ECE in category 2 is expected to be around 12,000 and 18,000, respectively.

VITEEE 2026: Marks Vs Rank
The VIT does not release the official mark vs rank table. However, based on the previous year’s data and experts' analysis, the marks vs rank table given below can be referred to by the students.
Mark around 470+ can secure you a rank under 250 and can secure admissions to the CSE branch at the Vellore and Chennai campuses.
A rank between 2500-3,000 can be secured with around 420 marks, which can secure admission to the ECE branch at Vellore.

VITEEE 2026: Counselling
The selected candidates can participate in the online counselling based on their ranking. They can give options for specific campus, programme and category of fees.
The allotment will be based on the rank obtained, preference given and availability of seats during online counselling.
There will be a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs. 5,900/- to participate in the counselling process.
After the completion of the tuition fee payment, VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates.
There will be a common counselling process for all the VIT campuses, which will be held in five phases.
Once allotted, campus/programme/fee category cannot be changed.
