What is JEE Advanced? The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is a national-level entrance examination conducted for students seeking admission to IITs in India. The exam will be conducted in two mandatory papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the same day in 2 shifts. Both papers will be conducted in CBT mode, consisting of 17 questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics respectively. After qualifying for this exam, admission to undergraduate programs in engineering and science at Top IITs, and also other institutes like IISc, IIPE, IIST, RGIPT, etc. Last year, among 2,50,000 JEE Main qualified candidates, only approx. 75% registered for the exam, and 54,378 candidates qualified for admission, among whom only 18,188 actual allotted seats were available at 23 IITs through JoSAA.

The JEE Advanced 2027 registration process will be conducted online through the official JEE Advanced website. As of October 2026, the 2027 registration schedule and application instructions have not yet been officially released. The following process is based on the latest official JEE Advanced registration procedure available for 2026 and should be updated once the 2027 Information Brochure is published.

How to Register for JEE Advanced 2027

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Before starting the application, candidates should verify that they meet the eligibility requirements specified in the official JEE Advanced 2027 Information Brochure. For candidates entering through JEE Main, eligibility is linked to their JEE Main performance and the prescribed JEE Advanced criteria.

Step 2: Visit the Official Website

Go to the official JEE Advanced website:

https://jeeadv.ac.in/

Registration is carried out through the online registration portal. No offline application process is provided under the official procedure.

Step 3: Log In and Complete Registration

Eligible JEE Main candidates use the credentials/details specified by the JEE Advanced portal to access the registration process. Candidates must enter their required personal and examination-related information and select their preferred examination cities as instructed in the application portal.

Step 4: Upload Required Documents

Candidates need to upload the documents and certificates applicable to their category and circumstances in the format prescribed by JEE Advanced.

The exact document list, file specifications and certificate requirements for JEE Advanced 2027 should be checked in the official 2027 brochure when released.

Step 5: Pay the Registration Fee

After completing the application details and document upload, candidates must pay the prescribed registration fee through the available online payment facility.

The official 2026 brochure states that registration is incomplete until the fee is successfully paid. Candidates who do not complete fee payment are not issued an admit card.

Step 6: Submit and Confirm the Application

Review all entered details carefully before completing the registration. After successful fee payment and submission, candidates should keep the registration details and payment confirmation safely for future use.

Important Points for JEE Advanced 2027 Registration

  • Registration will be conducted online through jeeadv.ac.in.

  • Candidates must complete fee payment to finish the registration process.

  • The 2027 registration dates, fee structure and document requirements should be taken only from the official 2027 notification/brochure once released.

  • Foreign Nationals and eligible OCI/PIO candidates may have a separate registration procedure, as specified by JEE Advanced.

  • Candidates should avoid waiting until the final day for registration and fee payment; the official JEE Advanced portal itself advises eligible candidates to complete the process early.

JEE Advanced 2027 Registration Fee

The JEE Advanced 2027 registration fee has not been officially announced yet. For reference, the 2026 fee for examination centres in India was ₹1,600 for female candidates (all categories), SC/ST/PwD candidates, and ₹3,200 for other Indian candidates. The 2027 fee may differ, so the amount should not be presented as final until the official notification is released.
