The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2026 is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) for admission to selected MBA programmes for the 2027–28 academic session. Candidates planning to appear for SNAP should check the eligibility requirements of their preferred institutes and programmes before registering.

The basic academic requirement for many SNAP-participating MBA programmes is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or an Institution of National Importance. However, some specialised programmes have additional requirements related to academic discipline, work experience or qualifying marks.

SNAP 2026 Educational Qualification

Candidates applying to many MBA programmes through SNAP 2026 must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or an Institution of National Importance.

The general minimum marks requirement is:

Category

Minimum Graduation Marks

General category

50% or equivalent grade

Scheduled Caste (SC)

45% or equivalent grade

Scheduled Tribe (ST)

45% or equivalent grade

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria of each programme because the standard requirements and applicable relaxations may differ for particular courses.

SNAP 2026 Eligibility for Final-Year Students

Students appearing for their final-year graduation examinations should check whether their chosen MBA programme permits them to apply.

Where final-year applications are permitted, admission is generally conditional on the candidate completing the qualifying degree and meeting the minimum marks requirement within the prescribed timeline. Candidates must follow the relevant institute's rules for submitting final marksheets and degree documents.

Applicants should not assume that the same final-year eligibility conditions apply to every SNAP programme.

SNAP 2026 Eligibility for Different Academic Backgrounds

Most general MBA programmes accept graduates from different academic disciplines, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates from commerce, arts, science, engineering, management and other recognised disciplines can therefore consider suitable programmes.

Some specialised programmes have additional requirements. Examples include:

  • MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management at SIOM, Nashik: Requires an engineering degree with the prescribed minimum marks.

  • MBA in Business Analytics at SCMHRD: Requires graduation with the prescribed marks and at least two years of full-time work experience after graduation.

  • MBA in Infrastructure Development and Management at SCMHRD: Accepts specified engineering, architecture or planning qualifications, or a non-engineering bachelor's degree accompanied by the required relevant work experience.

  • MBA in Food Technology and Food Enterprise Management at SSCANS: Requires a degree in one of the specified relevant disciplines, such as food technology, agriculture, biotechnology, nutrition or related fields.

These are examples of programme-specific conditions, not the complete list. Candidates should review the official eligibility page for their selected course.

SNAP 2026 Work Experience Requirements

Work experience is not compulsory for every MBA programme offered through SNAP. However, some specialised courses require professional experience as part of their eligibility criteria.

For example, the MBA in Business Analytics at SCMHRD requires a minimum of two years of full-time work experience after graduation. The MBA in Infrastructure Development and Management at SCMHRD has a relevant-work-experience requirement for applicants following the non-engineering graduate route.

Candidates should verify whether their work experience meets the relevant programme's duration and sector requirements.

SNAP 2026 Eligibility for International Qualifications

Candidates with degrees or qualifications from foreign universities should check the applicable recognition and equivalence requirements.

For certain programmes, an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is required. Additional academic or language requirements may apply to international dual-degree programmes.

Applicants should review the eligibility rules of both partner institutions, where applicable, before completing their programme registration.

Is There an Age Limit for SNAP 2026?

Candidates should consult the official SNAP 2026 bulletin and their preferred programme's eligibility page for any applicable age-related or other special conditions. Applicants should not rely on general MBA eligibility information when a programme has separate requirements.

Important Points Before Applying for SNAP 2026

  • Check the minimum graduation marks and qualification requirements of your preferred MBA programme.

  • Confirm whether final-year students are eligible to apply for that particular programme.

  • Review any additional requirements for work experience or a specific academic background.

  • Check the conditions for foreign qualifications, dual-degree courses and other specialised programmes.

  • Register for SNAP and separately select and register for every MBA programme you intend to apply to.

Meeting the eligibility criteria allows candidates to be considered for the applicable admission process, but it does not guarantee shortlisting or admission. Candidates must also satisfy the institute's selection requirements.
