The SNAP 2026 syllabus covers English language skills, analytical and logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, data sufficiency, and ethical decision-making. Candidates should prepare for all four sections introduced in the current examination structure.

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) publishes the official section structure and provides preparation guidance, but candidates should not treat general topic lists as a guaranteed, exhaustive chapter-by-chapter syllabus. The topics below serve as a practical preparation checklist based on the official SNAP 2026 preparation guide.

SNAP 2026 Syllabus: Section-Wise Overview

Section

Questions

Main Preparation Areas

General English

10

Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and verbal ability

Analytical and Logical Reasoning

20

Logical patterns, relationships, puzzles and critical reasoning

Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency

20

Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis and sufficiency

Ethics, Morality and Values

10

Ethical principles, fairness, accountability and situation-based decisions

1. General English Syllabus

The General English section assesses language proficiency, grammar, vocabulary and verbal reasoning. Candidates should focus on understanding written material and recognising correct sentence structure.

Important topics to prepare:

  • Reading comprehension

  • Synonyms and antonyms

  • Idioms and phrases

  • Vocabulary and word usage

  • Subject-verb agreement

  • Articles and prepositions

  • Tenses and pronouns

  • Sentence correction

  • Active and passive voice

  • Sentence arrangement

  • Verbal reasoning

Preparation approach: Read editorials and short passages regularly, maintain a vocabulary notebook, revise grammar rules and practise timed verbal ability questions. Reviewing the reasons behind incorrect answers will help improve both accuracy and comprehension.

2. Analytical and Logical Reasoning Syllabus

This section evaluates logical thinking, analytical ability, pattern recognition and problem-solving skills. Candidates should practise identifying relationships, interpreting conditions and drawing valid conclusions.

Important topics to prepare:

  • Coding-decoding

  • Blood relations

  • Direction sense

  • Number and letter series

  • Analogies and patterns

  • Syllogisms

  • Clocks and calendars

  • Statements and conclusions

  • Critical reasoning

  • Input-output questions

  • Seating arrangements

  • Logical puzzles

  • Visual reasoning

Preparation approach: Begin with individual reasoning questions before moving to complex arrangements and multi-condition puzzles. Use diagrams, tables and short notes to organise information. During practice, focus on finding an accurate solution without spending excessive time on a single question.

3. Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency Syllabus

This section tests numerical ability, mathematical concepts, interpretation of data and the ability to determine whether the information provided is sufficient to solve a problem.

Quantitative Aptitude

Important topics include:

  • Number systems

  • Percentages

  • Ratio and proportion

  • Averages

  • Profit and loss

  • Simple and compound interest

  • Time and work

  • Time, speed and distance

  • Algebra

  • Geometry and mensuration

  • Permutations and combinations

  • Probability

Data Interpretation

Candidates should practise interpreting numerical information presented through:

  • Tables

  • Bar graphs

  • Line graphs

  • Charts and other data-based formats

Questions may require calculations involving ratios, percentages, averages, comparisons or changes across data sets.

Data Sufficiency

This area assesses whether the given information is enough to answer a question. Candidates should learn to evaluate each statement independently and determine whether statements need to be combined, without making assumptions beyond the information provided.

Preparation approach: Revise mathematical fundamentals and calculation shortcuts. Practise interpreting units and conditions in data sets carefully. For data sufficiency questions, focus on judging whether information is sufficient rather than automatically calculating a numerical answer.

4. Ethics, Morality and Values Syllabus

Ethics, Morality and Values is a dedicated section in SNAP 2026, containing 10 questions for 10 marks. It broadens the examination beyond conventional verbal, reasoning and quantitative aptitude.

The official preparation guide recommends studying ethical conduct, fairness, responsibility, honesty and decision-making across different situations. A detailed chapter-wise list is not prescribed, so the following areas can be used as a preparation framework.

Important areas to understand:

  • Ethical principles

  • Honesty and integrity

  • Personal and professional responsibility

  • Fairness and impartiality

  • Respect for individuals

  • Accountability

  • Conflicts of interest

  • Social responsibility

  • Workplace ethics

  • Situation-based ethical decision-making

Preparation approach: Practise scenario-based questions and compare possible actions based on honesty, fairness, accountability and their consequences for the people involved. Focus on understanding the principle behind the best decision rather than memorising definitions alone.

How to Prepare for the SNAP 2026 Syllabus

A balanced preparation plan should cover all four sections rather than concentrating only on English, reasoning and quantitative aptitude.

Start by taking a diagnostic mock test. Use the results to identify weak areas, revise the relevant concepts and practise topic-wise questions. Gradually move to timed sectional tests and full-length mock examinations.

After each mock, review incorrect answers, questions skipped due to time pressure and questions answered through guessing. Keep a record of recurring mistakes and revise those topics regularly.

Candidates should also practise the Ethics, Morality and Values section consistently because it is part of the revised SNAP 2026 examination structure.
