GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
Before filing an application, candidates are advised to carefully check that they meet the official eligibility criteria for GATE 2027.
General Eligibility
You are eligible to appear for GATE 2027 if you meet at least one of the following conditions:
You are currently studying in the 3rd or higher year of any undergraduate degree program.
You have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities.
International Candidates
Candidates who have obtained or are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India must be:
Currently in the 3rd or higher year of their program, OR
Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (of at least 3 years duration) in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities.
