Courses with Admission Through Other Entrance Examinations
Not every course offered by GGSIPU requires IPU CET. Several programmes use national-level entrance examinations as their primary admission route.
Candidates should understand the following distinctions before selecting their examination.
Course | Programme Code | Primary Entrance Examination |
|---|---|---|
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) | 100 | NATA |
MBBS | 103 | NEET UG |
BDS | 104 | NEET UG |
B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing | 115 | NEET UG |
Integrated BA LLB / BBA LLB | 121 | CLAT UG |
B.Tech. (General) | 131 | JEE Main Paper I |
BAMS | 153 | NEET UG |
BHMS | 154 | NEET UG |
BA B.Ed. (Secondary) – ITEP | 161 | NCET |
MBA | 101 | CAT / CMAT before CET |
MCA | 105 | NIMCET before CET |
LLM | 112 | CLAT PG before CUET |
Some programmes also permit secondary admission routes after exhausting the merit list of the primary entrance examination. The order of preference is important and should not be confused with a direct IPU CET admission route.
Important Factors to Consider While Selecting an IPU College
Choosing an institute should involve more than looking at its name or previous-year closing rank. Candidates should compare colleges based on their course offerings, academic facilities, campus location and overall learning opportunities.
1. Programme Availability: Not every affiliated college offers every GGSIPU course. Candidates should confirm the programme and its relevant CET code.
2. Campus Location: GGSIPU-affiliated colleges are situated across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and other NCR locations. Distance, transport connectivity and hostel facilities may influence the final decision.
3. Sanctioned Seat Intake: The number of available seats differs according to the programme, institute and shift. Some colleges also have separate intake for morning and evening shifts.
4. Course Specialisations: Certain institutes offer specialised variants such as BBA Banking and Insurance, BBA Computer-Aided Management, integrated BBA-MBA and specialised technology programmes.
5. Admission Route: Candidates must verify whether the selected programme admits students through CET, CUET, a national-level examination or a combination of admission routes.
6. College Preference and Cut-Offs: Previous-year cut-offs, institute preference and category-wise reservation can help candidates develop a realistic counselling strategy.
7. Placement and Industry Exposure: Compare internship opportunities, placement support, industry connections, practical learning facilities and alumni outcomes before making a decision.
IPU CET 2027: College and Course Availability Updates
The participating college list, programme availability and sanctioned seat intake can change from one academic session to another. Additional seats may also be introduced during counselling, while certain programmes may have separate shift-wise admission arrangements.
