The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) is the single entrance exam for admission to MD, MS and PG Diploma courses in India, as well as post-MBBS DNB and NBEMS diploma courses. It is an eligibility-cum-ranking exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as prescribed under Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
NEET PG scores are used for the 50% All India Quota, state quota seats, all private and deemed universities, Armed Forces Medical Services institutions and DNB courses. No state government or private college may hold a separate entrance exam for these courses.
