Candidates following the Diploma route must have passed a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

In both cases, the NATA 2026 brochure required at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

NATA Eligibility for Class 12 Students

Students appearing in their Class 12 or Diploma examinations could register for NATA 2026. Their admission to B.Arch, however, depends on passing the qualifying exam with the required marks and meeting the admitting authority's rules. Appearing candidates should keep their final mark sheets ready for counselling.

Is There an Age Limit for NATA?

The NATA 2026 brochure did not specify an age limit. Candidates should check the NATA 2027 brochure, as well as the rules of the admitting authority or institute, for any age-related conditions.

Number of Attempts

In 2026, candidates could take up to two attempts in Phase 1 or one attempt in Phase 2, but could not appear in both phases. In Phase 1, the better raw score was used to calculate the final percentile.

Eligibility for Candidates Outside India

The NATA 2026 application form included Indian, OCI, PIO and Foreign nationality options. Candidates choosing a test centre outside India paid a fee of ₹15,000 per test. In 2026, Dubai was the only international test centre listed, and international candidates could not choose a second or third centre.

Category-specific Eligibility

The NATA brochure sets the same academic criteria for all categories. Reservation of seats and any relaxations at the admission stage are applied by the state, UT or institutional admitting authority according to its own rules.

Provisions for Candidates with Disabilities

The NATA 2026 brochure provided accommodations for eligible candidates with a valid certificate from a competent government medical authority, including 30 minutes of compensatory time for the drawing test and scribe provisions for the online test under specified conditions. Candidates had to declare their requirement and upload supporting documents while applying.

Important Points Before Applying for NATA

  • Check that your Class 12 subjects include Physics and Mathematics.

  • Make sure you can meet the 45% aggregate requirement (or the 2027 requirement once announced).

  • Check the separate eligibility rules of the state or institute where you want admission.
