NATA Exam Sessions
In 2026, Phase 1 tests were held on Fridays and Saturdays. Fridays had one session in the afternoon, while Saturdays had two sessions (morning and afternoon). Candidates booked their preferred city and session through the NATA portal, and the Council allotted centres as far as possible according to those preferences.
Phase 1 and Phase 2 Explained
Phase 1: Meant for admissions through the regular centralised admission process (CAP). Candidates could take up to two attempts, and the better raw score was used to calculate the percentile.
Phase 2: Meant for admission against seats that remained vacant after CAP rounds. Candidates could take one attempt, and the scorecard showed the raw score only.
A candidate could appear in only one phase, not both.
NATA Result Date
NATA results are published on nata.in. For 2026, the brochure stated that the detailed result schedule would be published separately. The NATA 2027 result dates will be updated here once announced.
Counselling Dates
The Council of Architecture does not conduct counselling. State authorities and institutes announce their own B.Arch admission schedules after NATA results. See NATA Counselling Schedule.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Check nata.in regularly for the official NATA 2027 brochure and schedule.
Register early, as test city and session allotment depends on availability.
Keep track of state counselling deadlines, which may begin soon after Phase 1 results.
Do not rely on unofficial "expected dates" when planning applications or travel.
Pro Tip: If you plan two Phase 1 attempts, leave a gap between them so you can work on weak areas. In 2026, the better raw score of the two counted.
